About Me
Back Story
More than 20 years ago, my love of reading and listening to people’s stories resulted in a new career as a reporter, editor and columnist. For six years I covered the news, interviewed countless celebrities, and wrote columns at The Almanac in Pennsylvania, earning 14 writing awards.
Returning to Orange County in 1998, I went to work as an editor and columnist at The Orange County Register. After 16 1/2 years at the Register, I recently retired/“rewired” to pursue my dream of writing a book on adoption, all three sides of the triangle.
My story on adoption, “My Secret Child; 42 years is just too long to grieve,” was published in the November 2010 issue of Orange Coast magazine.
For years I have also taught memoir writing, believing that everyone has a story to share. I have also been published in anthologies and other magazines.
I am the mother of five adult children and five grandchildren.
